MONT BLANC SKI LAB

F.A.Q

All your questions about Mont Blanc Ski Lab online ski coaching, answered.

The service

No, they are two complementary and different services. Online coaching cannot replicate the psychological dimension where a live instructor is invaluable. You are assessed on around ten turns, not a full hour. You choose your own slope and filming spot, which may not always be the most suitable compared to what an instructor would choose in a traditional lesson.

Mont Blanc Ski Lab is ideal for targeted technical check-ups and focused advice to help you progress. If you want to learn skiing from scratch and have the budget for it, traditional private lessons remain the best option.

💡 To improve steadily: get plenty of runs in, and have your technique checked from time to time to avoid locking in bad habits. That is exactly what Mont Blanc Ski Lab is for.

Absolutely — this service was created exactly for that profile. Send your video on Sunday evening, receive your feedback on Monday and put it into practice from Tuesday. You even have time to send a second video mid-week to track your progress and get new exercises to work on for the rest of the holiday.

Yes, absolutely. Orders and the WhatsApp chat are handled through the parents' phone.

The only requirement is being able to snowplough straight and stop using a snowplough. From that point, the service is accessible to all levels.

Yes, that is possible. For more information and to get in touch with the coach directly, visit www.valentingevaux.fr or write to montblancskilab@gmail.com.

There is no difference in training or qualification — it is exactly the same diploma. The only distinction is organisational: an ESF instructor works within a ski school that provides clients, while an independent instructor finds their own clients.

The video

Yes. You have 2 years from the date of purchase to send your video. You can also give a package as a gift.

It is very easy to ask a skier passing by to film you for 30 seconds — people are usually happy to help. Check our tutorial video on the How it works page for exact instructions on briefing the person filming you.

The video must be filmed from the front, from the bottom of the slope. A GoPro held by hand or on a tripod from below is fine. However, a camera mounted on a helmet or back does not allow all technical faults to be seen and will not be accepted.

A smartphone with HD quality is sufficient in 99% of cases. Make sure the skier is clearly visible and the footage is stable. If the video is too blurry or poorly framed, the coach may ask for a new one.

No, one video per order. To get a second look, simply place a new order — the coach can either confirm your progress or identify new areas to work on.

Delivery times

Feedback is guaranteed within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your video, 7 days a week. Turnaround times are very quick in winter and may be slightly longer out of season. You will be informed of the applicable timeframe at the time of your order.

Yes, Mont Blanc Ski Lab is available all year round. You can order in summer and send your video during your next ski holiday. You have 2 years from the date of purchase to use your package.

A credit note or full refund will be offered if the guaranteed deadline is not met.

Payment & Refunds

Payments are accepted by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Google Pay, Apple Pay and SEPA bank transfer.

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, certified PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level of security for online transactions. All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS. No banking information is stored on our servers.

A full refund is available in two situations only:

• If the coach cannot identify at least 2 technical faults in your video.
• If the guaranteed delivery time is not met and the credit offered does not satisfy you.

No refund will be granted outside these two situations.

Yes, a receipt is automatically sent by email after each payment.

WhatsApp

Yes, WhatsApp is essential to receive your feedback and communicate with the coach. If you do not have WhatsApp, you can use a friend or family member's number and copy the coach's replies to your own phone.

Yes, the chat remains accessible after delivery. However, it is strongly recommended to save the files received (voice messages, exercise videos) on your phone or another device, in case of an app bug or reinstallation.

The coach's WhatsApp number is accessible only after payment, via the chat linked to your order. This number does not respond to incoming calls or requests outside the package you have purchased. For any other enquiry, write to montblancskilab@gmail.com.

The packages

No, the chosen package cannot be changed after payment. Take the time to check the package comparison table before confirming your order.

No, and it would not be in your interest. It is far more useful to send a second video with a new order — this allows the coach to either confirm your progress or identify new areas to work on.

The promo code included in the Silver and Gold packages is valid on all packages, without restriction. It is single-use and valid for 1 year from the date of receipt.

After receiving your feedback, the coach will send you a Calendly link directly on WhatsApp. You can freely choose a 10-minute slot in the coach's calendar. The call can take place via WhatsApp or on a regular phone line.

If no common slot can be found, a credit note or a €10 refund will be offered, corresponding to a downgrade to the Silver package.

Mont Blanc Ski Lab is a new service that requires significant preparation behind the scenes — in particular the filming of corrective exercise videos. Those dedicated to snowboard are currently in production. The aim is to make them available by 2028.
